Those movies were so over-the-top in the best way. Add in Dynasty, Dallas, Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, etc... and they were the epitome of 80s glam.
It was an amazing era for storytelling. On the surface so little of it holds up but there’s a deep emotional under-pull that defies logic but is so powerful.
